FWIW, as one of the authors of Nagios::Plugin, I'd support going that
route when using a real packaging system. Shipping N::P itself and all
its dependencies with nagios-plugins is more intended for environments
without real packaging systems, or for people installing from tarballs
by hand.
So +1 from me.
