[tools] mrepo on RHEL 5

Howdy --

I read this thread here:
http://lists.rpmforge.net/pipermail/tools/2007-May/000826.html

and it looks like someone found a workaround for getting mrepo working on
RHEL 5. But I'm not 100% clear that is the case. Can someone confirm this?

If that is indeed what happened, Could I get some more clarification on the
steps involved?  Dag mentioned he would put it up in the docs some where,
but I can't find it.

I'm most confused with the first step:

> - Extracted the /usr/share/rhn directory to another one like

> /usr/share/rhn_old from an up2date rpm coming from RHEL4
