[tools] mrepo (lftp?) hanging

mrepo does not do any process management. It expects that commands that
run behave in a consistent manner. If lftp hangs (which should not occur)
than it needs to be fixed in lftp.

If you run the lftp command from the command prompt, does it hang as well ?
I haven't seen this on any system, but I usually run the latest lftp
(which at this time is lftp 3.6.1)
