[tools] createrepo after mrepo?

Is it a good idea to run createrepo after running mrepo -guvvv?

For example, I have "mrepo -gu centos5" in my crontab but I'm wondering if I should add "createrepo /path/to/centso4/repository/" immediately following my mrepo command?

The reason being I though mrepo would mirror everything including the metafiles, but sometimes my users complain of 'checksum mismatch' errors and I have to run createrepo manually on a particular repository.
