Sorry for the late reply.
I would like to confirm that I see the fuse mounts in /proc/mounts in rhel4.
I have also tried the --umount and --remount with fuseiso it seems to work well on rhel4.

However in the mrepo.spec I see the mention of "isofusedmrepo.patch" which is not present
So the "make rpm" command breaks. Commenting out the "Patch1" lines worked.

I will test the updates of mrepo today and post it.
