[tools] mrepo hangs a lot

Its almost certainly lftp. I pulled out the command line that mrepo
invokes lftp with and I have it running by its self right now. The
machine has lftp v3.5.1. I ran an strace earlier and it looks more like
a race condition between the three simultaneous file downloads. I'll see
where this leads...
