Hm.  I didn't upgrade any rpmforge packages when I did the 5.1
upgrade, and ntfs was working for me before.

Yeah, and I'm using it, but the kernel won't automatically match an
"ntfs" filesystem to the "ntfs-3g" mount type, so e.g. plugging in an
NTFS USB drive doesn't automatically create a mount point in /media/.

That is, before the upgrade, I always got my NTFS partitions
auto-mounted (though always with a
"filesystem is dirty"-type warning in /var/log/messages), but after, I
have to do it by hand.  Maybe that never was dkms-ntfs, and it just
seemed the most likely culprit.
