hello

sorry for breaking the threading, I got the plain text digest until now...

I'm not sure it's 100% yum on this one: I use apt with a single mirror,
and I have seen similar (?) errors from time to time.
I thought it was just a temp problem due to the mirror being down or in
the process of syncing when I query it.
Usually I just ignore it, as it doesn't keep apt from offering updates
from other repos, and a while later when I try again it works fine.

In case it's useful, I use the following mirror:
http://fr2.rpmfind.net/ linux/dag/redhat/el$(VERSION)/en/$(ARCH)/dag

Next time this happens I'll try to investigate (mirror down or not, and
save a copy of the repomd.xml and primary.xml.gz if not, anything else I
should check?) and drop a note to the list.

BTW, to answer someone else's question on this thread: apt doesn't have
any problems with multilib, it's fast, and it has a great GUI (synaptic,
very useful for finding software you don't know about).

cheers
Nicolas
