however, watch out: rpmfind.net is an alias for 2 separate machines, 
fr.rpmfind.net and fr2.rpmfind.net.
you should perhaps test these 2 mirrors separately, I believe fr2 is OK 
but I seem to remember having problems with fr at some point (and 
switching to fr2).
I suspect your script was actually testing fr.rpmfind.net ?
