[users] rsyslog support in repo or help/advice

Hi,

For a while I've been creating spec files for the rsyslog software which can
be found here:

http://wiki.rsyslog.com/index.php/Here_comes_the_first_story#Spec_files

With the release of 1.19.8, the author (Rainer) has now moved the mysql
support into another tarball (within the main rsyslog tarball) in a plugins
directory:

./plugins/ommysql/ommysql.tar.gz

This was done to support plugins in the future.

However what this means is that my rsyslog spec file no longer works, as I
need a way to extract the ommysql.tar.gz file within the main
rsyslog-1.19.8.tar.gz tarball within the spec (if that is even possible).

At this point my spec file skills are overwhelmed as I haven't done this
before and don't know the best way to do it.

I'm wondering/hoping rpmforge can take over the creation of the rsyslog RPM's?

If not, can someone advice of the way forward at this point?

Do I just have one spec file for the main rsyslog binaries, then make another
specfile for the ommysql.tar.gz tarball?

Thanks.

Michael.
